Travels of Miss Liu

Cuba, Hawaii, the Maldives, Washington – famous qingyi Liu Guijuan is definitely one of the most interesting and original personalities in the world of Beijing Opera.

Of course besides enjoying sunshine and ocean breeze, she’s busy with spreading the high art of Beijing Opera in the West – the following photo is courtesy of Geza, loyal fan of Miss Liu. It was taken after the performance of the Jade Hairpin in El Monte, California, on May 13, 2006.

Little Li Yangming (李阳鸣) and Li Wanchun (grandpa).

Miniature Chen Shaoyun in the middle.

I don’t remember whose photo. That puffy coat… priceless!

Gao Qingkui (高庆奎) and his son as the little prince, photo still from Sorrow on Mei Mountain.

Look at the stunned expression on the child’s face!
